The time is NOW.

Over the last few years Bruce has had a longing to ‘get back to Springfield’.  Decades of travel made it hard to stay connected.  As he embarks on his third career which will entail less travel, he will have an opportunity to help people on local projects and also serve his community on City Council.   His background brings a professional and personal experience that can and will be of benefit to our city.  “I feel like I have trained my entire career to meet this moment'“ - Bruce Adib-Yazdi

It was late December 2024, when the incumbents’ name had not appeared on the roll of certified candidates, he quickly gathered a few friends to collect the requisite signatures and on December 31, 2024 certified his name to be on the ballot. Alas, on January 21, 2025 – the last day to file - the incumbent put his name on the ballot by submitting and his signatures to be certified. A third candidate, Ray Lampert whose signatures had been certified removed his name from the ballot and endorsing Bruce.

It’s time for a change in how we run our city.  With the position of City Manager currently open, a mayor whose term limits are up and two incumbent City Council seats being challenged, we have the opportunity to bring some different thinking to the table.

Springfield is at a pivotal point in its growth as a city.  Both in terms of growing from within, and collaborating with surrounding communities. It’s time to be thinking like a small city instead of a big town and acting like regional leader.
